SOUND DUEL

Project General Orange – "Sound Duel"
Musicians battle using custom-built sound gear in public spaces.
The audience decides the winner by throwing coins onto scales.
All coins are donated to a good cause – for example, to organizations supporting victims of domestic violence.

In 2006, Yuji Yasunaga began creating sound gear, starting in Yokohama, Japan.
He then returned to his hometown, Okayama, where he met Danjuro Nagai († 2010) for the first time. Danjuro, a former technical school teacher, supported the first phase of the project by helping with the creation of sound gear.

In the summer of 2007, Yuji developed the first “characters” using sound gear and, together with a friend, organized the first Sound Duel.
Afterwards, he returned to Germany and continued developing characters and building sound gear.
